World IoT Expo 2025: How AI Is Rewriting the Rules of Global Connectivity

Date:

The World IoT Expo 2025, themed “Intelligent Connectivity, Infinite Frontiers,” takes place from October 31 to November 2 in Wuxi, China. The event turns the city into a hub for innovation, showcasing how artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things are shaping the world’s digital transformation.

Spanning 50,000 square meters at the Taihu International Expo Center, the exhibition is divided into four specialized halls: Industry Applications, IoT Capabilities, Intelligent Connectivity Ecosystem, and Smart Life. Nearly 400 technology companies reveal their latest advancements, while over 1,000 delegates from around the world—representing more than 50 Fortune Global 500 firms and dozens of international experts—gather to exchange ideas and strategies.

For Wuxi, IoT is more than an annual event—it defines the city’s industrial identity. The World IoT Expo 2025 continues a legacy that began when the China International IoT (Sensor Network) Expo evolved into a global event in 2016. Over the years, it has become the most influential national platform for IoT innovation, collaboration, and technological exchange.

Wuxi’s IoT achievements extend far beyond exhibitions. The city has built China’s only national-level advanced manufacturing cluster focused on the Internet of Things. With revenues exceeding 250 billion yuan, Wuxi has evolved from being the “birthplace of IoT” into a powerhouse leading its modernization and application.

Artificial intelligence is now driving a new phase of industrial evolution. Experts at the World IoT Expo 2025 emphasized that IoT bridges the digital and physical worlds, enabling AI to convert algorithms into tangible actions. They believe that the synergy between AI and IoT represents one of the most transformative forces of the coming decade.

Wuxi is investing heavily in this convergence. The city is upgrading every layer of its IoT network with intelligent capabilities, extending innovations to connected vehicles, industrial systems, low-altitude airspace management, and satellite communications. By merging with AI technologies, Wuxi aims to build a smarter, more interconnected future that challenges the boundaries of what’s technologically possible.
